Tips on How to Write a Resume

The resume is all about you.  Do not be shy.  This is the place where prospective employers will learn all about who you are and what you have done.

I like to see a Professional Statement or Objective right after your name.  This should include a few sentences with descriptions of your key competencies and the exact job title that you want.  This shows the hiring manager that you are not just blanketing everyone with your resume.  You are serious about this job.

Include specific sales numbers, rankings and achievements as often as possible.   Sales positions are all results based.  Therefore, your resume should be, too.

Use the same key words in your resume as you see listed in the job you would like to obtain.

When you look at the formatting, be sure that it does not look too busy.  You want it to be clean and concise.

And, as always, you can send it to me for a FREE review.
